Hi, welcome!

I’m Kiera Michailoff-Russell, MS, LAC.

I’m happy you’re here. If you are ready to embrace healing and curious about the path forward, I would be honored to support you on your journey.

I’m a licensed therapist in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

My first priority is for you to feel safe, seen, and understood so you can make the changes that matter to you most.

I deeply value and appreciate your innate wisdom and enjoy utilizing a collaborative approach to counseling. I use a holistic approach with my clients, practicing from a relational, person-centered, and trauma-informed lens, while also employing a feminist, intersectional, and systemic framework.

Taking the first step to find a therapist can feel daunting. Here’s what I am offering:

  • A relationship that values your authenticity.

  • A safe space for every aspect of who you are.

  • New strategies that will empower you to live a more fulfilling life.

How can I help?

I work with clients from a variety of walks of life. I am confident that my clients possess innate strengths that can empower them to learn the skills necessary to overcome adversity. Through understanding my clients, I support them in identifying and harnessing their distinctive abilities to navigate diverse issues such as, but not limited to:

  • Trauma isn't a natural experience and isn't meant to be faced alone. You might question whether what you've been through qualifies as trauma, but the truth is, you have the authority to define the impact of your experiences. While the trauma remains a part of your story, you retain the power to determine your path forward and your healing journey.

  • A safe and empathetic space is essential while navigating the complexities of healing. I am committed to providing comprehensive support tailored for both primary and secondary survivors of sexual violence and harassment.

  • Life often brings anxieties; while some can be motivating, excessive anxiety hindering enjoyable activities or personal growth isn't helpful. Rather than letting anxiety dominate, learning to live without fear's grip is possible. Depression, often exhausting, might stem from trauma or existential crises, yet you retain the power to reshape your narrative, even if it means rewriting the one given to you.

  • Maybe you feel your self-esteem has been affected by situations where you've felt overlooked or underestimated, influencing how you view your capabilities and value. Understanding these experiences provides a foundation for reclaiming your narrative and actively cultivating a stronger, more resilient sense of self-worth.

  • Sometimes understanding family dynamics is like finding your way through a maze of emotions, trying to set boundaries that honor your needs while preserving connections that feel essential. It can feel messy, complicated, and overwhelming - I'm here to help.

  • As humans in this fast-paced world, we often are expected to deal with transitions seamlessly and efficiently. However, that is not always the case. If you are feeling incongruence due to changes in your relationship, career, family or identity, let's work together to find lasting strategies to navigate these complex times.
